TNF

Non-profit documentary film · Est. [year founded]

We make films about
the people the cameras
usually miss.

TNF is a non-profit documentary company. We develop, fund and release long-form non-fiction work — and we put every dollar we raise back into the next film. No shareholders, no advertisers, no house style. Just the story, at the length it actually needs.

Buttons are wired but not yet pointed anywhere — send me the links and I'll connect them.

What we make

Documentary,
at feature length.

We work in the long form on purpose. A subject worth three years of someone's life is rarely served by a six-minute cut. Our films run between [typical running time] and are built from observational footage shot over [typical shooting period] — no narration track, no re-enactments, no score telling you how to feel.

Every project starts with access, not with a pitch deck. We spend months with a community before a camera comes out of the bag, and we keep the people in the film involved through the edit. If they don't recognise themselves in the final cut, we haven't finished.

  • Observational long-form, [typical running time]
  • Shot over [typical shooting period], edited with the subjects
  • Released free to community screenings first
  • Festival and broadcast release after

How the money works

Non-profit
means non-profit.

TNF is registered as a non-profit. That is not a marketing line — it is a structural commitment. Money raised for a film pays for crew, travel, equipment, insurance, translation, post-production and the community screening tour. Nothing else.

Our accounts are published [annually / quarterly]. Every fundraiser shows its budget line by line, including what has already been spent and what the next instalment buys. When a film is finished, the surplus goes to the next one.

  • Budget published per project, line by line
  • Surplus rolls into the next film, never out
  • Community screenings always free to attend
  • Films stay free to watch online after release

About TNF

A small crew, a long attention span.

TNF was started by [founder name] in [year founded], after [one line on what prompted it]. It has stayed deliberately small: a core team of [number] people, plus collaborators — cinematographers, translators, editors — brought in per film.

We work in [region / countries you work in]. We choose subjects slowly and we say no a lot. The test we apply to every idea is simple: is there someone whose life gets more legible to a stranger because this film exists? If not, we don't make it.

The company is funded by [funding model — grants, individual donors, institutional support]. We don't take money that comes with editorial conditions, and we don't sell footage of the people we film.

If you're a filmmaker with a project that fits, [how to pitch us]. If you're an organisation that wants to host a screening, [how to request one]. Both are free.
